Due to corona, the Business Travel & Mobility Conference was moved to Wednesday 23 March. During the event, trade visitors were able to (renewed) acquaintance with various exhibitors on the exhibition floor and, as always, there was a program with interesting speakers.
At the end of the day, during the award ceremony, it was revealed who can call themselves Corporate Travel Professional of the Year. That honor went to Stefan van Sliedregt, Global Travel & Expenses manager at coffee giant Jacobs Douwe Egberts.
“A very experienced travel professional, who is leading the transition to a new global travel and expense program at Jacobs Douwe Egberts”, is how the jury report describes the winner. “Van Sliedregt, together with his team, has been able to create support and acceptance for this change and implement it energetically.”
“Whereas previously work was done in a decentralized way, this new program has resulted in a worldwide consolidation in which forty agents worldwide have been brought back to one TMC world in a relatively short time. In this policy, partly based on the company’s new sustainability strategy, consolidation and the roll-out of a travel and expense platform form the basis on which we can now build further.”
