From now on, passengers will be informed by SWISS prior to their flight whether or not a face mask should be worn.
Previously, the English airlines Jet2, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic and the Icelandic Icelandair already stopped the mask requirement on flights to countries where this is no longer explicitly required. For example, it is now possible to fly mask-free from Schiphol to London and Reykjavik. The mask is also allowed on flights within Scandinavia.
At the Dutch airlines KLM, Corendon and Transavia, there is still an official mouth mask obligation, but it is no longer enforced by the cabin crew, unless the country of mandatory requires this. For example, on flights to the United States, it is still enforced, since the Americans demand this.
