The British mint invests in recycled gold in its fund

HANetf’s Hector McNeill talks to Proactive about a new exchange-traded commodity that uses recycled gold.

He thinks it’s a world first, but it’s an obvious thing his partner the Royal Mint has to do as it has a natural supply of recycled gold and scrap metal.

What’s really exciting, he adds, is that recycled gold ingot is much less carbon dioxide dense than regular ingots.

The Royal Mint Physical Gold ETC (RM8U) It is a European exchange-traded fund. This fund is traded on many different stock exchanges, such as Borsa Italiana, Deutsche Boerse Xetra, Euronext Paris and the London Stock Exchange. For this reason, different acronyms appear on the same ETF.
