KLM resumes scheduled service to Bangalore after two years

On March 19, 2020, KLM was forced to suspend flights to India due to travel restrictions due to the coronavirus outbreak. Flight operations to Mumbai and Delhi were able to resume – albeit with a low frequency – fairly quickly.

After more than two years, Bangalore (or Bengaluru) will soon be flown in again. This summer season, KLM will also increase the number of flights to Mumbai and Delhi. KLM will use a Boeing 777-200ER on the Amsterdam-Bangalore route. Flights are on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Bangalore is a relatively new destination in the KLM route network. The city was first flown in in October 2019. Until the spring of the same year, Indian Jet Airways flew on the Amsterdam-Bangalore route, but that came to an end after the bankruptcy of that company.
