The V3AA ETF is a global fund focused on ESG

Vanguard ESG Global All Cap UCITS ETF (USD) Accumulation (V3AA ETF) It uses a passive investing method of managing – or indexing – and strives to track the performance of the FTSE Global All Cap Choice Index (“the Index”).

The index is a market capitalization-weighted index consisting of the shares of large, medium and small companies of companies located in markets around the world. Market capitalization is the value of the company’s outstanding shares in the market and shows the size of the company. The index is created from the FTSE Global All Cap Index (“the Leading Index”), which is then screened for specific ESG standards and companies by the index’s sponsor, which is independent of Vanguard.

The fund enhances environmental and social characteristics by excluding companies from its portfolio based on the impact of their behavior or products on society and/or the environment. This is achieved through index tracking.

The index excludes shares of companies in which FTSE Russell, as a sponsor of the index and as a data source, has decided to participate in and/or receive income (above the limit set by the index provider) from the following activities:

(a) Products of vice (such as adult entertainment, alcohol, gambling, tobacco, and cannabis);

(b) non-renewable energy (i.e. nuclear power and fossil fuels (including oil, gas and thermal coal power generation)); And

(c) Weapons (chemical and biological weapons, cluster munitions, anti-personnel landmines, nuclear weapons, civilian firearms, and conventional military weapons).

The index method also excludes companies that, according to the index provider’s decision, are involved in serious disputes (i.e. companies that do not meet the labor, human rights, environmental and anti-corruption standards set out in the principles of the UN Global Compact).

The fund may hold securities that are not compatible with the index ESG . requirements Until the relevant securities cease to be part of the index and it is possible and practicable (in the opinion of the investment manager) to liquidate the position.

If FTSE Russell has insufficient or no data available to adequately assess a particular company in relation to the ESG criteria in the Index, such companies may be excluded from the Index so that they may be considered eligible by FTSE Russell.

The company’s participation in products and behavior is monitored on an annual basis by the indicator provider and when new data is made available to the indicator provider.

In this regard, the index is in line with the characteristics that the fund is promoting.
