Schiphol is preparing for a busy weekend, handful of flights moved

At the start of the May holiday, there was great chaos at Schiphol due to a lack of staff. This resulted in hours of queues at the check-in desks and security checks. To prevent this, extra employees are being deployed and agreements have been made with airlines and tour operators to adjust their flight schedules.

It has been decided, among other things, to move six flights to Rotterdam The Hague Airport. This concerns flights from Corendon, TUI fly and Transavia.

Despite the crowds, Schiphol expects most travelers to catch their flight. The airport urges them to arrive on time and to check in online. If you only travel with hand luggage, you can immediately proceed to the security checks in this way.

The crowds at Schiphol led to queues that started outside the departure hall on a number of occasions. That is why a roof has now been placed there.
