New lounge at Frankfurt Airport

The Frankfurt facility is not owned by an airline or alliance, like many airport lounges that travelers with a business class ticket can use. Plaza Premium is a paid service. Travelers of some airlines have free access. The ‘normal’ entrance costs 45 euros for three hours at the counter; those who book in advance receive a discount.

Plaza Premium Group, from the Chinese metropolis of Hong Kong, works together with American Express: members can enter the lounge by showing their credit card and boarding pass. This is located in Terminal 2, after Passport Control, at Gate D8 at International Departures. The space can accommodate up to 107 people.

Fast growth
As almost everywhere else, the numbers of passengers at Frankfurt Airport are growing at a rapid pace and the Plaza Premium Group therefore expects that there will be sufficient demand for the paid lounge facility.

The Plaza Premium Group now has a total of 250 lounges at seventy airports, mainly in Asia. In Europe, there are lounges at the airports of Frankfurt, London (Heathrow and Gatwick), Budapest, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Zurich, Geneva, Rome and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen.
